ABOUT US

GSM Metals Inc. (GSM) is proud to be family owned and operated. The company was purchased in 2002, with the original vision of providing a stable, quality supply of precious metal raw materials to its sister company (founded 1992) Cimini and Associates, Inc. (C&A). At that time, GSM was housed in a 15,000 square foot facility with approximately 20 employees in East Providence Rhode Island. Once a consistent, reliable internal product flow was established, GSM expanded to supply the third-party marketplace with mill products made from gold, silver, and platinum alloys. In 2008, GSM struck a deal to move in to a 76,000 square foot, state of the art manufacturing facility located in Cranston Rhode Island. This arrangement included an array of equipment that instantaneously expanded and improved GSM’s capabilities from melt to final fabrication. Between 2009 and 2011, GSM made the decision to incorporate jewelry fabrication and finishing into its overall operations, vastly improving efficiencies from a quality, delivery, and cost perspective. Currently, GSM employs approximately 100 non-union employees.

Today, GSM is a manufacturer of simple to sophisticated mill products and precision engineered precious metal jewelry. We specialize in raw materials and components that are difficult to manufacture, while requiring precise tolerances. GSM services a premier client  base that is comprised of leaders in the Jewelry, Aerospace, Electronic, Automotive, and Musical Arts industries. One of our most significant strengths is that all products, from each of these different business segments,
are manufactured on the same equipment. This strategy provides security in that the overall  business is less
susceptible to swift economic change.

Beyond its technical and engineering expertise, GSM possesses the competitive edge in that we have the ability to design and manufacture a product from start to finish, while maintaining strict lot integrity and traceability back to the mine itself.
With the combination of all its capabilities, GSM can produce raw materials, extrude, draw, machine components, solder, laser engrave, polish, inspect, and ship to the industry's highest quality standards. GSM recycles its own scrap into new melts for the next batch of products to be made; therefore avoiding expensive refining and processing costs. These savings from GSM's strategic structure can be directly reflected in the prices to our customers.
