ECO-FRIENDLY METAL

Commitment to environmental protection and sustainable development is a core business value at GSM.  As a standard practice, GSM strives to recycle as much internal clean scrap as possible.  When virgin metal is required, GSM utilizes material from Kennecott Utah Copper and the Royal Canadian Mint.  Both sources are well-known for their ethical, environmentally friendly refining and mining processes.  

Kennecott is intensely committed to sustainable development and sets many goals to ensure the continual improvement of its methods.  They work collaboratively with the EPA to restore, reclaim, and revegetate land, while protecting biodiversity.  The Royal Canadian Mint introduced a Responsible Metals Program, aimed at identifying and validating the chain of custody of incoming gold-bearing refining deposits.  The company strongly opposes all activities which finance or contribute to abuses of human rights.
